Hello everyone. I am new to recording and I have a Audio Box and Studio One Artist. I almost hate to start this thread because I have searched and it has been started before but nothing has really helped me. I am not able to hear my recordings during playback with my headphones. I have the volume up but no sound. In a few days Im going to buy the tutorials but for right now I just want to play around with it a bit. Actually, I even tried my monitors but nothing came out of them either. When Im recording I can hear myself in the monitors or even the headphones if Im using those but for playback, nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Actually the problem was solved by upgrading the audio box driver. I guess I got lucky. Trust me, I will have more questions!

Maybe Im not so lucky. The headphones worked one time after the driver update but that was it. Again, no sound from headphones. Help will be appreciated.

Might be a silly advice but I made the same mistake once. If you can hear when you're recording but not the playback, could it be that the 'Mixer' control on your AudioBox is set all the way to 'input'?

Thanks for the reply. I finally found it. In the I/O setup which is halfway down on the left side of the page, when you choose outputs you need to check off the box that says cue. That allows the sound to come out of the headphones. I had to do the same thing when trying to listen to a demo song also. I wish it would save the setting but it doesnt seem too. I need to recheck that box everytime I open the program.

Hello everyone!!, I'm from Argentina. I have a controller Acorn Masterkey 61 and a disused notebook I use just to run this. This Accorn, has by default the Presonus STUDIO ONE software for beginners as it is my controller emulator Masterkey 61. Moreover, the components of the notebook are: Windows Vista, Intel Core Duo Processor, 2 GB RAM, 160 HD, sound card Realtek High Definition Audio.
The problem is to install the Presonus Studio One, with their corresponding configurations and recognizes the controller normally as a keyboard device recognizes it perfectly, but makes no sound ('IN' ok / 'Out' fails) to understand what the conflict is in the sound card (no sound).
Any user of this forum I can advise a possible solution configuration or compatibility problem with the sound card? or
someone has a sound driver for Realtek High Definition Audio to run Presonus Studio One in this sound card???

Install Asio4all drivers and use them instead. General rule. Don't ever try to use Wdm drivers and if its possible a dedicated audio interface. Just google for Asio4all. Should be the first entry. For a Onboard soundcard I would suggest a buffer size of 1024.

jbranam and CPhoenix: thanks, I downloaded the driver but I set no time even to configure it, I hope that I may have known to run the Realtek High Definition Audio card and be able to run my Acorn Masterkey 61 with some sounds. Once you are able to configure, test and confirm that solved my problem, I'll post this. Greetings from Argentina!

I'm having a little trouble understanding with the language barrier, but hopefully the OP realizes this is an MIDI controller, not a keyboard that produces sound.

HI Gizzmo0815!! , sorry for my in English, try to present the conflict in some way to the forum. Indeed, the Acorn Masterkey 61 is a MIDI controller, not a musical keyboard that emits sound. Now I'm configuring ASIO4ALL but I have no luck with Realtek sound card. I'll try all options and if I find the solution to the conflict, will be published in the forum.

If you select the Windows Audio Driver in Studio One, this will use the Realtek.
