Only the newer GarageBand 10.0 can convert the GarageBand 2.0 iOS songs. I tried again, just to be sure, and that is what GarageBand 6.0.5, the latest GarageBand '11 version is showing. Jun 17, 2016 So, you've recorded and mixed a song in GarageBand. Now it’s time to share your song with the world. In its current state, your tune can only be played within GarageBand, so you need to export it — or “bounce it down” — to a single audio file that can be played in common audio applications. Jun 13, 2016 I just got an iPad2 and I recorded a song in GarageBand using the Apogee Jam (which is awesome, by the way). But I don't know how to get that song from the iPad to my PC and to a mp3. While in GarageBand, I've tried to 'share sopng via iTunes' and then I sync'd my iPad with my PC via iTunes, but I still don't see my song anywhere.
See my answer to your question in the iCloud forum:

Now before iOS8 it would transfer from my iPad to Mac without a problem. At this time I can only transfer from iPhone to iPad. Help!!!!!!!!
Have you upgraded to 'iCloud Drive' on your iOS devices? Then you can no longer use documents in the cloud, and your mac will not see the projects you are storing in iCloud. Unfortunately, turning off iCloud Drive will not restore the ability. See these documents:
